Our Approach to Every Service
Every watch that comes through the door follows the same intake process regardless of the service requested. We document the condition on arrival, agree the work and price in advance, and provide an estimated collection date before leaving.
For straightforward jobs like strap fittings, that process takes a few minutes. For overhauls, it involves a more detailed inspection and written condition notes. The principle is the same either way: nothing starts until there is a shared understanding of what is being done and what it will cost.
Inspection & Assessment
The watch is examined and its condition noted. For overhaul work, photographs are taken. The scope and price of the service are confirmed.
Service Work
The same watchmaker carries out the work from start to finish. If anything unexpected comes up, the customer is contacted before proceeding.
Quality Check
The completed work is checked against the intake record. Overhauled movements run on the timing machine for a minimum of 48 hours before return.
Return & Documentation
The watch is returned with a service summary. Overhaul clients receive a full written record including timing results and parts replaced.
Strap & Bracelet Fitting

Resizing, link adjustment, and replacement of straps and bracelets across leather, rubber, and metal. A quick, approachable visit for everyday comfort and fit. Includes spring-bar inspection and gentle cleaning of the fitted area.

Typical Timeframe
Most strap fittings are completed on the same visit or within 1–2 working days if parts need to be ordered.
Crystal Replacement & Polishing

Renewal of scratched or chipped crystals and light polishing of acrylic surfaces to restore clarity. Suited to daily-wear watches that have picked up wear over time. Glass and sapphire options are quoted after inspection of the reference and existing crystal type.

Typical Timeframe
Standard crystal replacements: 3–5 working days. Less common references may require a parts order, which extends the timeline. We confirm at inspection.
Full Overhaul & Refinish

A comprehensive bench service combining movement overhaul with case and bracelet refinishing for a refreshed appearance. Intended for owners preparing a watch for long-term keeping or handing down. A condition report accompanies the returned piece.

Typical Timeframe

Workshop Protocols
Secure Intake & Storage
Every piece is logged on arrival with a unique reference and stored in a locked area of the workshop when not on the bench.
Condition Documentation
Intake condition is recorded before any work begins, providing a clear baseline and protecting both the customer and the workshop.
Pressure Testing
Cases opened during crystal or overhaul work are pressure-tested on resealing. Results are noted in the service record.
Timing Verification
Overhauled movements run on a timing machine for a minimum of 48 hours. Rate, beat error, and amplitude are checked across multiple positions.
Correct Parts Policy
Original manufacturer parts are used where available. Alternatives are discussed with the customer before being fitted.
Return Documentation
All overhaul clients receive written documentation of the work completed and parts replaced, suitable for insurance or future service reference.
